BUSINESSEUROPE Day 2018 took place in Brussels on 1 March 2018. This fourth edition coincided with the 60th anniversary of our organisation. BusinessEurope adopted a statement on the value.s of business on this occasion.
BUSINESSEUROPE Day 2018 focused on the role of business in society. Europe is one of the best places in which to live, work, and do business in the world. The European Union made this possible. Freedom of thought, speech, movement and enterprise within a borderless European Single Market is the foundation of our prosperity. The rule of law and social values are part of our European DNA. However, to defend our way of life, we must modernise our economic and social model. The programme included testimonies on companies’ answers to different economic and social needs as well as panel debates on how European policies can support business so that it can play its role.
